Terre Arm\u00e9e France provides design and supply of 12 Reinforced Earth\u00ae access ramps to Dakar Regional Express Railway project<\/span><\/p><\/h1><\/div> Fourteen\u00a0stations and\u00a057\u00a0kilometres in just\u00a045\u00a0minutes, with service every 15 minutes,\u00a0is the promise of the future\u00a0regional express rail TER\u00a0line<\/a> which will link the\u00a0Dakar\u00a0city centre with the new\u00a0Blaise Diagne International Airport\u00a0(AIBD) by 2019, expecting to serve about 115,000 passengers per day. The Dakar TER project is divided into two phases. Phase 1 covers the development and widening of the existing infrastructure between Dakar and the Diamniadio station of 36 km length. Phase 2 consists in the construction of a new 19-km-long line between Diamniadio station and the AIBD airport. Terre Arm\u00e9e France<\/a> signed up to the project in\u00a02017. Client Eiffage<\/a>\u00a0trusted TAF with taking charge of the\u00a0study,\u00a0design,\u00a0supply, technical assistance and formwork provision for\u00a012\u00a0Reinforced Earth\u00ae<\/a> access ramps. In total,\u00a017,000 m\u00b2\u00a0of access ramps were built, all made from 3 X 1.5 metre rectangular\u00a0TerraPlus\u00ae\u00a0panels and\u00a0GeoStrap\u00ae5\u00a0reinforcements. Kick-started in\u00a02016, this project is part of the “Emerging Senegal plan”\u00a0launched by the President of the Republic and the Senegalese government in\u00a02014\u00a0for the economic and social development of the country.
